TAKE A SEAT...

ON OUR

KEGEL THRONE

Have you urgently needed to go to the bathroom but not made in in time?

Or does the thought of exercising, sneezing or coughing have you crossing your legs in anticipation?

You’re not alone, in fact, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 10 men in Australia suffer from Urinary incontinence and we offer a revolutionary FDA and TGA approved technology to help those affected.

The Emsella Chair, known as the ‘Kegel Throne’, uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscle. The Pelvic Floor Muscles (PFM) support pelvic organs, control continence and play a crucial role in healthy sexual function.  Many patients with incontinence or impaired sexual function, are unable to perform correct PFM contractions and lack muscle activation due to the PFM weakness.

The Emsella selectively activates motoneurons that innervate striated muscles, causing deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation to restore neuromuscular control and muscle strength. A single session brings over 11,000 supramaximal contractions that you simply would not be able to do on your own. This is critical for muscle re-education and strengthening.

From incontinence to sexual dysfunction, Emsella can help you break free of the pain and discomfort caused by a weak pelvic floor, so you can move forward with more confidence.

WHAT IS

EMSELLA?

Stress urinary incontinence

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the involuntary loss of urine as a result of increased intra-abdominal pressure due to effort or exertion (such as sneezing/coughing). SUI is associated with weakness in the pelvic floor muscles (PFM), impeding their ability to fully close the urethra under periods of increased pressure. The Emsella boosts the performance and activity of the pelvic floor muscles, alongside your individualised training, program to help you achieve results faster.

Urge urinary incontinence

Urge urinary incontinence (UI) is an involuntary leakage of urine accompanied by a sense of urinary urgency. As with any form of incontinence, urge urinary incontinence is usually related to weak pelvic floor muscles which make it difficult for the muscles to hold on as long. The Emsella targets the pelvic floor muscles. By providing contractions that are stronger than what you can achieve with pelvic floor training alone, you can see results much faster.

Post-childbirth recovery

After giving birth, many women experience weakening or stretching of the Pelvic floor muscles. This can lead to a wide range of pelvic-related health conditions, including poor bladder control, organ prolapse, or pain and discomfort in this area. Emsella can help postnatal women to regain strength in their pelvic floor muscles, enabling them to achieve better health outcomes and avoid further problems and complications down the line.

Female sexual dysfunction

The incidence of female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is surprisingly high with multiple studies estimating 20% of population are under 25 years old and 80% of population for women 55-74 years old. The Myostimulatory effect of Emsella results in the conditioning of the entire Pelvic floor muscles which can improve not only bladder control but also the quality of intimate life. Findings in several studies support the premise that strong pelvic floor muscles correlate with higher intimate health scores (using the FSFI index) This has also been the feedback from patients who have undertaken the course of Emsella treatment.

Does the Emsella really work?

Scientific research indicates that 95% of Emsella patients report significant improvements to their quality of life and a 75% reduction in pad use.

We recognise that every incontinence situation is unique, so during the consultation we will recommend the Emsella treatment only if we’re confident you’re the right candidate and likely to benefit from the treatment.

What does the Emsella feel like?

That is the best thing about BTL EMSELLA, patients say it is completely painless! Whilst sitting fully clothed on the chair, you will feel a tingling sensation and pelvic floor muscle stimulation, similar to the contraction you perform when doing Kegel exercise. You can read a magazine or book and relax during the 28 minute treatment and can get back to doing what you love immediately after a session.

When will I see results and how long will results last?

Patients often experience results after their first session in the Emsella chair and continue to see further improvements over the course of their treatment. After completing all six sessions, clinical studies have shown that Emsella results can continue to improve for up to three months after the last session and typically last up to 24 months. Depending on your individual condition, you may or may not need maintenance sessions during this period. You will be eligible for our maintenance rates should you require it.

How do I get started with Emsella?

If you believe you may be a suitable candidate head over to the bookings page and book in a consultation appointment. We will discuss your personal situation, make sure there are no contraindications and advise you with complete transparency if you can benefit from the Emsella treatment. Most importantly, we will also advise you if it’s NOT the right modality for you. If you are hoping to have the treatment on the same initial consultation day, its preferable you wear loose fitted clothing, bring your favourite book, take a seat and experience how strong Pelvic Floor Muscles can change your life!
